Composites design resources

Hi all,

I'm a fairly recent graduate of a Mechanical Engineering/ Materials Science and Engineering program and am looking for some resources. I am looking for as much information pertaining to the design/analysis/fabrication of composite structures.

A little information on me might help or influence some responses so a brief synopsis of me. Engineering is a second degree/career. I returned to school with the original intent of changing careers. After completing school, I have decided that I am not willing to take a huge pay cut and/or sacrifice my work schedule or lifestyle. I studied mechanical engineering because of the desire to learn how things work and am generally interested in design. I decided on the materials science double major specifically because I was interested in learning about composite materials. I am in the process of starting a business centered around mechanical design mostly of isotropic materials but would like to work my way towards the use of structural composites. I realise the best method is to try to get a job in aerospace or the like to learn, but unfortunately that is very limiting. It seems there are quite a few experts who can offer both good advice and direction. Can you suggest any books or courses that would be helpful in attaining my goals? Any other advice would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

You could look at the training courses offered by Abaris.
http://www.abaris.com/index.asp.
They run advanced composite training courses from technician to engineering levels.

Thanks Berkshire, That sounds like a great place to start and the courses are only about an hour and a half away from me. Thanks for your input.
