Wrap a sketch to a sylinder

Wrap a sketch to a sylinder

Wrap a sketch to a sylinder

(OP)
I've inserted a picture in a sketch and trying to wrap this sketch incl. the picture round the surface. The sketch is wrapping ok, but not the picture. I'm in working in part environment.

RE: Wrap a sketch to a sylinder

Hi,

first you have to activate Format --> View --> Textures
Then AFAIK the picture must be defined as a FaceStyle:

- Format --> style -> Face Styles
  - select New
    - choose a Name and use one of the available as base
      - choose Texture or Bump (press Help for an explanation)
        - select Browse and navigate to your picture
        OK
close

Now --> PartPainter --> Select the new Style just created and
select the element type to apply to from the pulldown

Thx Dy, it works perfect.

/Edit

I've forgotten one thing: the new style is only known to the
part where it is defined. To have it commonly available define
it in one the normal.xxx templates.
If that's not wanted then you can copy it from this part:

- Format --> Style --> FaceStyle --> Organizer
  - select a file type
  - browse to the part to copy from open
    - copy from left window to right
    Close
    press Apply/Close or Cancel

Now it's available in the active part, permanently when saved winky smile
