Repeating grouped componenets

Repeating grouped componenets

Repeating grouped componenets

(OP)
Here is my issue, I have several brackets (8 to be exact) that are to be fastened with 2 washers, nut, and bolt.  I also have these brackets in 6 different orientations in my assy. Basically I need to insert the same hardware 8 x 6 = 48 times.  My question is, is there a way to repeat a group.  I know that I can group one set of hardware and pattern it for a bracket.  (patterned within one component) What I would like to do is group a set of hardware, "repeat" the group, and then pattern each repeat.  Is this possible in wf2?

RE: Repeating grouped componenets

I don't know of a Repeat for groups but have used Copy and
Paste Special (with advanced reference collector). If you
set up the hardware groupings dependancies correctly you
will just have to pick a planar and cylindrical face to
place each group (assuming uniform thickness, otherwise
two planar faces).

(I don't have AAX and have wondered; is this an application
of UDF's?)

RE: Repeating grouped componenets

One way of doing this could be to make the each bracket / washer / nut / bolt a subassembly, which you can then repeat - or create the group as a user defined feature which you can insert into the assembly at the required places.
