Pneumatic Transportation of wet spent grain (malt bagasse)

Do anyone of you have experience or have equipment for pneumatic handling (transportation) of wet spent grain?. Spent grain is malt bagasse produced in a brewary. Spent grain moisture content is about 20% to 25%.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

RE: Pneumatic Transportation of wet spent grain (malt bagasse)

Contact the people at MAC Equipment (www.macequipment.com). I installed their blowers while on assignment at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Newark NJ. They will also help in designing the piping.

It also won't hurt to do some reading on pneumatic conveying of wet solids to get a better understanding of what needs to be done. Don't approach this as a specialty item, just as a typical materials handling problem.

pleckner,

Thank you very much for your quick reply and help about this matter. I already send a request for quotation.
