I can not seem to be able to put individual feature sketches onto a layer. I am trying to do this so I can use my sketches as tool paths for CNC programming.

I can put all solid geometry on layers, turn them off, and "show" the sketch, this works but doesn't seem to be the best way to do it...

RE: moving sketches to layers in a print

I've had to contend with this, mainly for generating wire EDM geometry.

I use "convert entities" to copy sketch entities into a drawing view. This way it is also possible to combine sketches and ignore construction geometry.  Model sketches are all hidden afterward.
