Viewport freeze

Viewport freeze

Viewport freeze

(OP)
I have a layer I would like to thaw in a drawing which is frozen in model space. I would like however only to have that layer active in one particular viewport (not all of the other 30 in the drawing).

Is there a routine/method which enables us to globally freeze a layer in all existing viewports?

Cheers. Sean.

RE: Viewport freeze

(OP)
Seems to work in enabling me to freeze the layer but the strange thing is that when you go to the viewport (any of them) the layer is shown as on in the main freeze column but also on in the current viewport thaw/frozen column, even though it is not visible. And therefore not easily switched back on - (its on an xref so the input of layer name to thaw it via the command line is complicated).

Mind you its a good suggestion - any other ideas?

Cheers. Sean.
