hi anyone please suggest a good material which has good ability to withstand 250 degree celcius,,without deflection..and why u prefer that material

RE: urgent help (mechanical)

That's a pretty vague question.  Every material expands or contracts when heated.  But "steel" would fit your criteria as good as anything.  If you need a better answer, we'll need more information.

RE: urgent help (mechanical)

Hello,

You can create a list of materials with the following mechanical and thermal properties at 250 °C :
- yield strength [MPa]
- ultimate strength [MPa]
- Young's modulus [MPa]
- thermal expansion coefficient [mm/mm/°C]

- thermal diffusivity [m^2/s]
- (inverse of the) thermal effusivity [SI]

Thus you have physical criteria for classification of materials.

man: tantallum, titanium, both light and tought;
tungsten will not deflect

RE: urgent help (mechanical)

Is this your homework?

RE: urgent help (mechanical)

Uh, 'without deflection' is a pretty tough specification to meet.  You will likely need an Unobtainium alloy.

whitount knowing the details of your application DURALUMINIUM is maybe one of your materials options.
