Breathable quality Nitrogen gas

Breathable quality Nitrogen gas

Breathable quality Nitrogen gas

(OP)
Dear members

I am looking for a standard/guideline for specifying a breathing quality nitrogen gas. Does any one know any thing about safety of nitrogen gas? I know some athletes increase the % of nitrogen in their air intake for training and… however I am interested to find out what is it that they are breathing?

From my research I have found out that there are systems out there that increase the % of N by removing Oxygen; however I like to know if the same thing can be achieved by adding N to the Air mix?

Thank you
