AutoCad: How to minimize the file size

AutoCad: How to minimize the file size

AutoCad: How to minimize the file size

(OP)
I always face a big problem when working on the Solid Modeling projects on AutoCad, the size of the file gets bigger and bigger with all the details I add, is there a way to minimize this file size?

RE: AutoCad: How to minimize the file size

You can do a few things. If you are not already, XREF all parts into the assembly and do not contain them all in one file. Delete all layer filters. Delete empty text strings. Delete invisible objects if you don't need them. Purge the file completely.

The later versions have smaller 3D file sizes
