Hi all

Hi all

(OP)
Is there a way to take an existing half circle that has been revolved 180 deg. and flatten it? I know i can flatten sheet metal, but can iregular shapes be flattened? Thanks in advance

sorry about the thread topic. i put the wrong text in that field. :)

RE: Hi all

I don't think you'll find an accurate way to flatten that within SW, since you'll have all sorts of stretch issues to compute in something like that.  Might have to upgrade to a more complex sheet-metal module to do something like that with greater accuracy.

RE: Hi all

In most instances, if you can create it in sheetmetal you can flatten it. Not always, though. As for the half-circle, check out this thread and see if it helps you:

thanks for the input, i'll check it out.

RE: Hi all

Mitsu50 ... If what you have is a hemi-spherical (bowl) shape, then you will not be able to flatten it.

cheers
