RE: S355 JRG2

Hi,
I've been a little bit late because Yallapragada has already answered your question. Just some additional information.

1. Arcelor's tables are limited to product thickness 125mm whilst EN 10025:1990+A1:1993 gives the required mechanical values and carbon equivalent up to 250 mm product thickness with the difference at 150mm product thickness.

2. The standard gives also the product analysis (for control purposes). In case of S355JR: Cmax 0.27 (for all the thicknesses up to 100m), Mnmax 1.70, Simax 0.60, Pmax 0.055, Smax 0.055, Nmax 0.011.

3. Minimum impact values relates to KV impact test samples 10x10mm (with V notch type 2 mm). In case of impact test samples 10x5 mm the standards allows to recalculate impact values to 10x10mm using dwg 1.

4. Be careful about direction of tensile and impact test samples. In case of product with width 600mm and more (plates) the direction of tensile test samples should be transverse and direction of impact test still longitudinal. In all other cases all test samples of longitudinal direction.

5. The standard gives also the values of minimum elongation in case of flat tensile test samples with Lo=80mm cut off from products thinner than 3 mm (five different values for S355JR).

6. If you require some more details on para 1,3,5 please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hoping you haven't been bored with too many details.
Regards,

iceclass1994
