U.S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements 1966

U.S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements 1966

(OP)
Hi all,

I'm trying to find some temperature data (minimum temperature with 1% probability, or a temperature distribution) for 30000 feet on winter days and around 40 degrees latitude.

I know that "U.S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements, 1966" has some information similar to this, but I could not find it. Here is the abstract:
"Abstract : Tables of the U. S. Standard Atmosphere 1962 were computed and tabulated up to only 90 km as functions of integer kilometer values of both geometric and geopotential altitudes. The geopotential tables have now been extended to 120 km altitude. This extension involved the development of an empirical function relating geopotential to geometric altitude. A discussion of this function along with limited geopotential tables was prepared for the U. S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements 1966. This function has also been used to prepare more extensive tables relating geopotential to geometric altitude and vice versa up to 10,000 km for latitudes from 0 to 90 degrees. In addition, a computer method was developed for automatically generating multilayer atmospheric models which rigorously fit arbitrary upper and lower boundary conditions."

Is there anyone who has this document, or something similar to it?

regards...

RE: U.S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements 1966

MIL-HDBK-310, MIL-STD-210 and ISO 2533 should all be helpful. I'm afraid I don't know websites for these, but I have downloaded both the MIL specs in the past.

RE: U.S. Standard Atmosphere Supplements 1966

"SAE AIR1168/9: Thermophysical Properties of the Natural Environment, Gases, Liquids, and Solids"  has these tables.

Also see STINET and search for: "standard atmosphere". the 1962 document + additions to 700-Kms is listed and is downloadable [last page of search, very old].
