Does anyone know any standard for the allowed tolerances of aligning a flexible connection in piping systems?

RE: Flexible connection alignment

Hi,

I don't know any international standard, I think it's by far easier to specify based on avaliable products. Check for instance www.elaflex.de, excellent rubber.

Thanks Oldiar, I will keep checking with different manufacturers.

RE: Flexible connection alignment

You need to check the literature from the supplier of your connection as each one is product specific. The allowances vary all over the map again depending on the product and service conditions.
Based on personal experience don't operate at the extremes of any allowable on any product be it rubber hose, metal hose, metal bellows, elastomeric bellows, etc.
