Converting to Autocad geomtry inacuracies
Converting to Autocad geomtry inacuracies
(OP)
When I convert a Soliddraw file to a dwg file, my geometry is not matching the original file. If I measure a dimension, and this happens in dwg editor or in acad, I will get dimensions different from the originals. Also when using the converted drawing views as blocks, and then trying to locate those blocks using the existing geometry I get errors as well. I am using version SW2007
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix, or is this a issue with the settings?

That's probably the first thing to check.

thank you all for your help!!!
RE: Converting to Autocad geomtry inacuracies
How do the measurements compare when the file is opened in DWGeditor?
RE: Converting to Autocad geomtry inacuracies
no diiference witg dwg editor
however I opened the sketch of the solid model the drawing is of that dimension was corect and I checked it to 8 places just to be sure I was not having a issue with rounding. The dimension was correct. I then deleted it and redimensioned the exact same number. The conversion of that was correct
