Exploded view in WF 3.0

Exploded view in WF 3.0

Exploded view in WF 3.0

(OP)
Anyone else having trouble with exploded views in 3.0? They changed some things, and it seems that view states in drawings are no longer dependant on states in the assembly model.
I ussually create my exploded state in the model, then make the drawing views in that state.
Now, I tried to do that and I can't even modify components positions.
I am able to do it in drawing mode, but then once I hit OK, some parts move back to their default positions.
I'm not sure exactly what's wrong, but there seems to be some inconsistancies.

RE: Exploded view in WF 3.0

I have run into a similar problem when using WF2.  What I found out is that when you edit the position of a component in a "exploded state" you have to activate the exploded state through view manager and "update" the state to actually apply the changes.  I know leave it to PTC to require an extra click to get the job done.  If that doesn't work try setting up different simplified reps for each exploded state.
