Is there any way to reference some thing in the same drawing.

I want to have a detail that is updated when the whole plan is updated.(both are to be on the same drawing sheet)

Could you create a viewport of the same area?

RE: AutoCAD 2007 Detail View

I do it by just drawing the minute detail in the body of the drawing, then create a new layout that just looks at the detail.  A couple of times I've needed to put part of the detail on a layer that I turn off for the big picture and turn on for the detailed drawing.  It really works well.
