SA 105 - SA 216 WCB - SA 216 WJB???

SA 105 - SA 216 WCB - SA 216 WJB???

SA 105 - SA 216 WCB - SA 216 WJB???

Hello,

Im working on FEA for a separator (desander) of oil and sand with structural steel. The tanks or desander have 3 main materials, which I need to know where I can find the mechanical-structural properties for these steels:

SA 105
SA 216 WCB
SA 216 WJB

Can anyone please help me finding these properties because for me seems to be pretty hard to find!

I've already done simulations with structural satandard steel and the results seems to be pretty fiable and good. But I still want to make the real materials simulations.

Thank you very much for your help!

RE: SA 105 - SA 216 WCB - SA 216 WJB???

What exactly do you need? There is information in the ASME B&PV Code (Section II, Part D) that can provide you with allowable stress values and other information as a function of service temperature.

There is no Grade 'WJB', That's probably a typo.

Thank you very much!

I will look in the ASME codes. Im just looking for the structural properties (Young, Poisson, Yield Stress, etc.)

I think that the simulation I did with standard structural steel are pretty good but I dont know if these specific steels change something a little bit.

Thank you...

Paul

you can also find similar in the A-ASTM
