I am looking for a web site that shows different types of shaft failure (Shear/torsional) with pictures to help my technical service department quickly determine where to start looking for possible causes. Can anyone send me in the right direction? Thanks.

RE: hydrualic pump/motor shaft failures

Dont know of a website.
Caterpillar does a series of manuals on failure analysis; one being hydraulic pumps. These manuals have good pictures of many typical causes of failure.
Try posting also on the fluid power forum. Posting a picture of the shaft and stating the pump type and application may generate some better advice

All - Thanks for your help. This is a good start.
