changing multiple configurations at once.

changing multiple configurations at once.

changing multiple configurations at once.

(OP)
can anybody help?

when changing a part in an assembly for another config, you theoreticaly can change the configuration in all configs of an assembly. by clicking properties a drop down menu comes up in config specific properties, and below that is "change properties in" where you can select which assemblies you want the part to change in. it is very temperamental in changing, as some times it works and sometimes it doesn't. does anyone else have this problem, and know what is going wrong?

note: i am using solid works 2005!

RE: changing multiple configurations at once.

One thing it depends on is whether the changing configurations are derived or not.

RE: changing multiple configurations at once.

This is where using a Design Table really pays off.
