Solidworks in Metaframe / Terminal Server

Solidworks in Metaframe / Terminal Server

(OP)
Does anyone have any experience running Solidworks in a Metaframe environment?  We are looking into the possibility of having 3-4 users from a remote location connect to a Metaframe server to run Solidworks.  I am looking for hardware recommendations and if/how well this would run compared to an individual workstation.

RE: Solidworks in Metaframe / Terminal Server

I have personally tried to run SW via Citrix and it was a total waste of time.  Performance wise it was not as fast as a workstation and trying to push the graphics totally stifled any benefits.  If you understand how terminal emulation works you'll quickly realize it's not a solution to replace CAD workstations.  You will always get better performance by running SW on a local workstation...period.

There have been a couple threads regarding this but I wasn't able to find them via a search.
