Transition to Ansys Workbench
Transition to Ansys Workbench
(OP)
Hi, there -
I once used the traditional GUI of ANSYS. How hard does it take to get familiar to the Workbench? I sat in a presentation about Workbench recently and it really looks like a very good product. But where do you start? The help menu does not seem to provide good tutorials as for the traditional GUI environment. I am in particular looking for some help on structural engineering examples. It's been 3 or 4 years since I last used ANSYS. This project recently came to me is definitely a good chance to learn some new stuff and go back to have fun in the FEM world again.
Thanks ahead for any advice!

RE: Transition to Ansys Workbench
As far as learning it goes, there aren't really any good tutorials that I've ran across. The help is has just about enough content on everything that you are able to figure most everything out. WB is still in development (compared to classical Ansys) and will continue to be for a number of releases I would imagine. In time the help documentation and functionality should come up to par. For now the help is perhaps your best resource and your ASD can probably help out as well.
Good luck,

The Workbench environment is very easy to learn and you don't need and training to go ahead with it. The workbench wirard will guide you through the analysis. So if you are a beginner in Workbech I would suggest this wizard.

It is however, very easy to pick up, and you can spend some time playing with it first. Alternatively, you can request for assistance from your ASD or ANSYS office.
