Copy/Cut/Paste Drawing Items

Copy/Cut/Paste Drawing Items

Copy/Cut/Paste Drawing Items

(OP)
Is there a way to Copy/Cut/Paste drawing items, and keep the same relative origin to drawing? Example: I'm coping drawing notes from a "C" size drawing to another "C" size drawing and want them to fall in exact place when copy and paste. I’m using the same drawing templates when doing this. Is there any setting I need to adjust in the “Options” area? It's aggravating because it pastes the notes any old place.

I briefly searched past threads and really didn’t see anything for this.

Thanks,

RE: Copy/Cut/Paste Drawing Items

Not sure if it's the easiest way to do this, but I have cheated by drawing a line from an endpoint on the view I want to copy and the bottom corner of the sheet.  Now copy that view and the line will be copied also.  After pasting the view onto the other sheet, move the view until the un-attached end of the line is at the same corner on that sheet.

You can zoom in on the corner of the sheet and move the view around until the endpoint of the line is on the corner.

You could try making a block of the notes, using a point in the title block geometry as the base point.

Another workaround is to create a temporary sheet format with the notes added to it. Then in the new drawing just call up the temp sheet format.

Sorry, misread the question.  I thought he wanted to put the drawing view in the same place of another sheet.
