Slow printer startup

Slow printer startup

Slow printer startup

(OP)
When I try to print it seems to take an enourmous amount of time (maybe 10 or 15 seconds)for the box to come up.

I've tried moving the printer configurations to the C drive (they are on a network at the moment), but this doesnt seem to speed things up.

When I first started working for my current company I got a new machine with all new clean and fresh autocad and the print box came up like a flash.

What have I done and how can it be fixed?

Cheers. Sean.

RE: Slow printer startup

Not too long ago someone here had the same problem. It seems Acad was looking for a plotter that was no longer available. Removed the offending .pc3 files and everything was back to normal.

That sounds like the right explanation - but does it mean the actual .pc3 file in the printer path or do you mean the named saved page setup in a drawing which refers to a .pc3 file?

Cheers. Sean.
