Silver recovery system in a mirror line

Silver recovery system in a mirror line

Silver recovery system in a mirror line

(OP)
Our system of silver recovery consists of 2 filters:
the first one is 0.5 microns and the second one is 0.2 microns. The Ag particles in the waste water decrease from about 15 ppm to 0.6 ppm in the water sewage.
The regulations requirement is less than 0.1 ppm.
We are thinking about Decanting vessels( with floculant) or resin colums, since the amount of silver may be to low for mechanical separation.
Some one has experience and can give me a tip about a recommended method to decrease this Ag content.
Any advise will be highly appreciate.
Best regards,
Osna

Here are some references to solutions used by the photographic industry to remove and or recover silver from process streams. Each of the process has it's own efficiency.
Have you asked your trade organization about this problem as you will note in these references there are references to organizations like the Silver Council.

We had a process that required us to remove Silver to very low levels and we used precipitation or Chemical recovery cartridges depending on the starting levels. We got
low levels, but not as low as you trying to achieve.
