Transmission Line Calculator

Does anyone know of a simple, free program for calculating transmission line parameters, ampacity, etc.??  I have one that is part of a software suite, but an looking for a freeware type of program to be able to share with a client. Thanks

RE: Transmission Line Calculator

From a business point of view, if you can find a program and share it with the customer, doesn't that mean you would lose business?  Isn't that why you made a monetary outlay for your program and computer equipment?

I am not able to share a portion of the software suite I use, as it is licensed.  I was looking for a freeware/shareware transmission line parameter calculator.  And no you do not lose business by sharing information with clients; actually the opposite happens.  When you educate your clients you gain their trust and they call you more.  If you hoard your work product and do not educate your clients as part of providing services, they do not gain the same comfort level with you.

I don't know exactly what you want, but maybe some (free / sharware) softwares on the page above may help you.

RE: Transmission Line Calculator

Southwire used to provide some software with their Overhead Conductor Manual - try the local Southwire rep or just use the book.
