AutoCad2007, Problem with object snap
AutoCad2007, Problem with object snap
(OP)
Hello,
I've got a problem which I've never had before.. When I write for example "tt" or "from" in the command window it says following:
"Command: tt
Unknown command "TT". Press F1 for help."
Command: from
"Command: _from
Unknown command "FROM". Press F1 for help."
And it is like that for most of the buttons in Object Snap.. It's a little bit annoying when I need these tools.
Anyone who knows how to fix the problem?
Or is it just to install AutoCad again? (As I said before, haven´t had this problem before...)
Thanks,
carlorjan (AutoCad 2007)

in 2004 it's the same. I think that's general. ACAD needs a "real" command like "_line", etc... first

It´s the same if I write the whole command or if I press the button for it.. So the whole palette object snap seems to be wrong in some way..

What Exxit means is that you use the FROM while in another command eg Line, etc...

OSNAP is NOT used on its own. You won't get a proper response to your inputting the osnap, if a command isn't ALREADY RUNNING, and ACAD waiting for your response to the running command's next prompt.
I know I went a bit long, but you'd be surprised how many "experienced" Cadders, (NOT JUST ACAD !) don't have a handle on this critical issue! I hope this helped.
Good luck !
