Plotting in NX 3

Plotting in NX 3

(OP)
Hello all, I'm having a problem that I hope you can help with. I'm having a problem plotting in NX3. THe plots are coming out fine but the sketches we use are for machining. In the drawings all the machined area's are drawn in white and when we used to print those lines would come out bold black. There is no diffrence in any of the lines when we plot now. Is this something that can be set in UG or is this at the printer level. Were using an HP 5si now where we used to use a Laserjet IV.

RE: Plotting in NX 3

While in the NX Print menu, there are 5 tabs (Printer, Print Setup, Print Layout, Queue and Help)

Click the Print Setup tab and on the bottom of that menu there's Invert White Objects on White Background.

Make sure that is clicked.

Is there anothe forum that would be more appropriate for this question?

RE: Plotting in NX 3

Have you tried checking the "preserve line width" box? (under scaling:)

Everything should be designed as simple as possible, but not simpler.

RE: Plotting in NX 3

bfoster,

If you need more help than you're getting here, I'd suggest calling GTAC (800-955-0000).  It might be the SDI plotting software that UGS has integrated into NX that is causing the problem.

Tried the "preserve line width" box? (under scaling:)but no help. AS suggested I'll try calling GTAC (800-955-0000). And see if they can help. I appreciate everyones help but if anyone has knowledge of what might be causing this please post. I'll keep an eye on the thread.
Thanks again,
