SW2006 SP5.1 available

Just noticed that SP5.1 is now available from the portal.

cheers

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

I saw that as well, but I'm not clear on what the advantage is of upgrading to SP5.1.  The SW website mentions nothing about it, aside from the fact that it can now be downloaded.

I couldn't find the fixed SPRs either. It seems to be the trend to not publish them till some time after the SP release???

I'm using SW07-SP1.1 now anyway, but just wanted to see what had been fixed/changed.

cheers

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

They will post them later in the week... There is always some lapse to it when hte SP is posted.

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

All,
Where do I find the complete lists (on what's been fixed) of Fixed Service Packs? I'm using the customer portal and can't seem to find it.  Please send me a link.

I know SP 5.1 might not be listed yet, but want to see the previous SP's

Thanks,

Log into the portal;
My Support > Check SPRs > SPR List and Lookup > Accept Aggreement

cheers

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

CorBlimeyLimey,
I tried that, but keeps bumping me back to my customer portal. I get as far as:
My Support > Check SPRs > SPR List and Lookup >
When I select  < SPR List and Lookup > that's when it bumps me back. I even logged out and logged back in. Pretty weird I might say.

Have you contacted SW for advice?
Can others at your workplace connect OK?
Have you tried a different browser?

cheers

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

I had some problems with the portal but SWx fixed that in a matter of a day after about three e-mails.  But I had to start telling them they were affecting my productivity for them to respond.  go figure

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

RE: SW2006 SP5.1 available

One of my colleagues told me that the SP 5.1 was mainly for the German version of SW. Apparently it had too many bugs and customers tried to put pressure on SolidWorks.

So unless you have the german version of SW, the SP is not really necessary (I thinkponder).
