Inserting Bitmaps

Does anyone know if i can insert a bitmap onto a surface in Solidworks 2005, i am trying to create a ID Tag plate with a company logo on it.

RE: Inserting Bitmaps

If you have PhotoWorks you can apply a decal.

You can also use the Sketch Picture function.

Thanks for the replys guys,

I got my picture in OK, but the problem now is that the tag plate is a curved surface (attached to a pipe), when the curve is applied (FLEX feature) the model fails !!

It looks great flat but curved and on a pipe.....not so great

Any suggestions ?

RE: Inserting Bitmaps

A decal would be better for this situation becasue it would wrap around the pipe correctly if you use the correct mapping option (just like the tag or label would in real life).  The decal will show in Solidworks and also in the drawing if you use shaded view mode.

RE: Inserting Bitmaps

As it's curved I assume you are using a Decal.

The decal should be applied after the Flex feature.

cheers
