Help BOM Format File Syntax

Help BOM Format File Syntax

Help BOM Format File Syntax

(OP)
I need to export my Pro/e BOM to a text file for import into excel.  I know I have to create the bom format file and I have some examples of the format script text, but I do not have a description of the script syntax.

Example: %$name[-31s];%material[-9.3s]
Need definitions of each charactor group.

Do I need the section called " .breakdown" or can I use only the summary?

If anyone could send me an explanation for this, it would save me hours of trial and error research.

Thanks.

Chris.

RE: Help BOM Format File Syntax

Serach the PTC website Knowledgebase for BOM format.

This is the document explains BOm formats:
