Update Holders

Update Holders

(OP)
What is it and what are they for ?

RE: Update Holders

They came out many versions ago. They are indicating in-contexted relationships between 2 parts, etc... YOu can't delete them but you can hide them, but only for that session.

From SW knowledge base (it talks about showing one, but will show you how to hide them)

Question:
A part is created with an in-context feature in an assembly and an update sketch feature (called an "update holder") was added to the assembly's FeatureManager design tree. Now, that "update holder" icon is missing, how is it recovered?

Answer:

Hide/show "update holders" in the FeatureManager design tree. Right-click on any component and select "Show Update Folders."
