My program does not converge

My program does not converge

My program does not converge

(OP)
Hi!!!
someone can help me please?
When I used the specific heat C in a transient thermal analysis, it converges correctly. But when I replace C by the corresponding values of ENTH, the program does not converge any more!!! Is there a particular command which I must use to avoid not-convergence?
here some commands witch i used:
ANTYPE,TRANS
NROPT,FULL
SOLCONTROL,ON
OUTRES,ALL,LAST
AUTOTS,ON
but it does not converge
Thank’s in advance
Barha

RE: My program does not converge

It's been a while since I took thermo but as I recall it enthalpy, H, is a function of specific heat, C.  Can you not enter C as a function of temperature?  Enthalpy seems that it should be an ouput of the analysis rather than an input.

Yes it seems to be an output but, in Ansys, if you have a phase change, you must enter it like a parameter of your material. ENTH is the specific enthalpy of your material. H=integral (DENS*C*dT). Normally it should give the same thing as if C were used but I would like to check that!!!

my programme converge now.
thank's
