ISO vs ANSI Roller Chain & Sprockets

ISO vs ANSI Roller Chain & Sprockets

Hi all,

Does anyone understand what the differences are between ISO and ANSI roller chain and sprocket dimensions?

If so, can you comment on running ISO chain on ANSI sprockets?

Regards,

ERT

RE: ISO vs ANSI Roller Chain & Sprockets

ISO chain is based on Brittish Standard chain. Although they are inch sizes, they differin bushing diameter & bushing length. They cannot be interchanged without changing all the sprockets.

Thanks Russell.

I have since discovered that Martin Sprocket http://www.martinsprocket.com/

makes ANSI and ISO sprockets in North America, so availability is not a problem.

ERT
