(OP)
I would like to know if anyone has information on CVN Impact Values (ft lbs @ 0 deg. F) from the following:
Base material 1/2" SA-387 Gr. 11 Cl. 2 (ASME P4)
FCAW process using 1/16" dia. E81T1-B2 Filler & 100% C02
Preheat @ 300 deg. F maintained through completion of weld.
Slow cool after completion of weld (appro. 50 to 75 deg.s per hr.)
PWHT @ 1275 deg. F for 4 Hrs.
I realize using a consumable more suited to low temperature service would give better values, however I am still interested if anyone has tried this.
