Question, I'm a new user to Catia, this company is using V5, rev 9.

Question is on a 14 sheet drawing I am doing, one sheet will NOT let me ZOOM FULL (meaning the format doesn't center on the screen).

I have a few details on many sheets, this one sheet I do notice that the orgin of some details goes way below the format.

Without changing scale of this details, is there away around this situation, so that I can full zoom, and get a plot of this entire sheet?

Thanks

RE: ZOOM FULL

HI
I'LL TRY TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION HOPE IT HELPS. TRY UNCHECKING THE OPTIONS THAT ALLOWS YOU TO HAVE AXIS DISPLAYED IN THE VIEW THAT WAY YOU CAN "FULL ZOOM".\
YOU'LL PROBABLY FIND UNDER "OPTIONS--> DRAFING---->LAYOUT"
THIS IS IN R14 NOT SURE ABOUT R9
CIAO

Doesn't look like Rev 9 has that feature.

RE: ZOOM FULL

Not sure about the "FULL ZOOM" (did you mean FIT-ALL-IN?)

But you mentioned it causes problems when you plot? Try changing the plot option under AREA to WHOLE DOCUMENT. This will plot everything that is inside the drawing border, regardless of how you zoomed it on the screen.

Jackk...with this 14 sheet drawing, only ONE sheet (the one with larger scaled details and orgins way out of the format is the ONLY sheet I have a problem with.

Yes, I do mean the FIT-ALL-IN....

RE: ZOOM FULL

Do you have  your View Frames on (it's under the properties of the view)?  This will show you what the offending view is (it will have the largest frame).  I suspect that there is some geometry wayyyy out on the fringes.  CATIA automatically fits a CATDrawing when you read it, and it is seeing some kind of geometry out there.

catiajim,  I actived the sheet, actived each detail individually.  Did a large window around the lower section, hit delete....NOTHING...

Pretty frustrating here.

It is something with the borders (whether they are ON or OFF)...when I move this views ALL up, they FIT-IN-ALL work....RATS..

RE: ZOOM FULL

It seems with CATIA, the board is NOT the size of the detail or section, but of the TOTAL object you are detailing or sectioning.  Making the scaled up board way too large, that is the way it seems to me.

I FIGURED out, if you ACTIVE the FORMAT itself....you can "FIT-ALL-IN".....funny software...
