Carbon Faces on Abrasives

Carbon Faces on Abrasives

(OP)
Hello Group

Any thoughts / experiences on running Carbon v SiC on seawater with 'abrasives'

Are there guidelines/limits of, say, soilds size, percentage, SG etc where you use a carbon face below those limits ?

I have seen a seawater seal selected as being Antimony Carbon v SiC, but the job in hand has 'solids and abrasives' so folk seem to want SiC v SiC and a Cyclone.

Clearly, I need to get more info on the 'Solids' but I was wondering if anyone had C v SiC with a Cyclone?

TIA
