Anyone can help me?

Anyone can help me?

Anyone can help me?

(OP)
Anyone can help me find the frequecy formula for a spherical shell? Actually, it's just like a ball, supported by a skirt.

I can do a rough calc for the beam mode frequecy but not shell mode. Since there is no software and reference book, so need your help.

Thanks in advance,

RE: Anyone can help me?

Refer to the following book:

Robert Blevins, Formulas for Natural Frequency and Mode Shape.

RE: Anyone can help me?

One acronym, three letters, FEA.

It is becoming easier and cheaper to do a quick modal analysis of simple geometry like you are talking about.  Although, if your geometry in question is a simple sphere, Blevins may help you.

RE: Anyone can help me?

It is. But an uncorrelated FEA model is a waste of time, mostly. That's why real FEA analysts (as opposed to node pushers) have a copy of Roark, and Blevins, on their desks.

Cheers
