Software for internal MSEW design

Does anyone know of a design software, other than the one offered by ADAMA, or a spreadsheet to evaluate internal stability of MSE Walls?. Freeware would be much better!

RE: Software for internal MSEW design

jjmg53,

I have developed my own spreadsheets for external stability (handles superimposed walls, backslopes, foreslopes, surcharge loads - everything but limit equilibrium slope stability) using the FHWA design guidance (FHWA NHI-00-043). It shouldn't be too hard to develop one yourself for internal stability.

This has the added advantage that you have a better idea of what the limitations of the spreadsheet are!

RE: Software for internal MSEW design

There are others (keywall, Srwall...) but you won't find a more versatile or user friendly software than MSEW.

RE: Software for internal MSEW design

Have you checked into NCMA SRWall3.2?  It is alot less expensive.
