Hi, I request RF in the history output at the crack front, but it gave me zero? How come?

RE: Request raction forces at crack tips?

Because the reaction force is zero everywhere except at a restraint.

Thanks. So I need to constraint the crack tip/front, right?

RE: Request raction forces at crack tips?

No. If you want to see the forces acting at the tip then ask for the individual element nodal forces. The sum of all the element nodal forces at one coincident node will, of course, be zero.
