Xpres Route elbows

Xpres Route elbows

Currently when XpresRoute does a pipe run it puts welded elbows at the 90 deg bends. Is there a way to make it bend the pipe at a specific radius, without having to use the tube command to back door the bend.

Using Solid Edge v18 SP 7

RE: Xpres Route elbows

Hi,

which SE version are you running: V18 Foundation or Classic?
The Classic (bundled that is) tha the Machinery Library which
AFAIK contains such items. The Foundation comes with that
limited free content only.

I have the complete Machine and Piping Library purchased from SE. I don't wnat to use buttweld elbows though if that is where you are going. I actually want to show the pipe as one continuous piece, just bend at the 90 deg angles.

RE: Xpres Route elbows

This sounds like a confusion between tubing and piping.
In 'the old days' SE only had tubing in ExpressRoute, where all runs were continuous bent tube.
Piping has now been added where the runs are made up of pieces of pipe with welded fittings etc.

Looking at V17 there are 2 command icons.
One looks like a piece of bent copper copper tube - this will create your bends etc.
The other looks like 2 piecs of steel pipe with 90deg elbow.

Try using the first one.

bc.
