Modelling boxed/ plates fabication

Modelling boxed/ plates fabication

Modelling boxed/ plates fabication

(OP)
Say you creating a box; total plates should be 6 and total points should be 8. When I draw a curve, chain it. After creating a treamed surface I realise the surface displaces itself from original corner points thereby creating its own new additional points. If the plates dont link the mesh wont converge at interface. Is there anywhere in Patran I can fine tune.

RE: Modelling boxed/ plates fabication

just a question.. why use trimmed surfaces? then are usually non-iso meshable..

and patran can deviate from the points only if the surface is insane and is impossible to create according to point definition..

use surface from curves, or edges... trimmed is a last resort.
