Hello everybody, my last tread was very nice, and I need some info about kraemer excitation systems for dc generators, how they work? or some information links??

        Thanks

RE: about kraemer excitation systems for dc generators

Could you give us more details? I do not identify that excitation system by the name "Kraemer".

RE: about kraemer excitation systems for dc generators

Kramer DC generator is a constant current one with 3 different excitation windings - a separately excited shunt winding; an additive shunt winding and a subtractive series winding. It is one of the early dc machines with negative feedback system of control.

I doubt such a generator exists now.

Do you have one ?

Ed your guessis right, such excitation system is long time obsolete.

181273, your looking for a link? Are you still using this system?

regards,

bil

hello and thanks to everybody, yes I´m looking for technical information  about it... how to calculate resistances, diferent powers between generation set on dc and motor on dc.

Yes. this system is still in use, in the 80 % of the spanish fish ships, for the traction of the net...

I work a lot of times with ships and they got this system...
maybe obsolete but really strong for this application
