Add excel BOM into drg template?

Add excel BOM into drg template?

Add excel BOM into drg template?

(OP)
Hi,

Does anyone know a way i can auto insert a excel based bom into a drawing?

I need to serup std drawing & BOM layouts.Im sure there is a macro way however my vb skill in none.

Also when creating a drawing with 2 sheets the open assembly is only linked to the active sheet, when you select the 2nd sheet none of the view are populated, is there also a way to do this?

Sorry if the questions are slightly confusing.

Cheers Lee

RE: Add excel BOM into drg template?

I don't know of any Macro for auto inserting an Excel BOM, but a lot of people I see are using the SW BOM now.

As for your other issue, there isn't anything iN SW I know of that will auto insert views into a second sheet after you add it... you ca drag and drop you model into the sheet and it will make a 3 views for you.

RE: Add excel BOM into drg template?

ALso, to have a SW BOM on the template requires there to be a part or assy attached to the dwg. I don't know yet if this has changed for 2007.
