ADDING HARDWARE

ADDING HARDWARE

ADDING HARDWARE

(OP)
Hi all,
Drag and droppping hardware has usually worked well. Ocassionally however I  get a message: "The document named "name of hardware" is already open, do you want to show this aready opened document?"
No, ends the toolbox action and yes, opens the model of the hardware.
In either case drag and drop in position does not work.
Any thoughts?

RE: ADDING HARDWARE

I had this problem in the past with no straight answer from our VAR. It's kinda scary to uses because you don't know if your work is going to be saved. I'm wondering how the experts in this forum will answer...I bet ya they'll have an answer.

Have a good day,

RE: ADDING HARDWARE

Sounds like (if you have a multi-user enviroment setup) that you are trying to open a TB part that is open by someone else. Make sure you have the TB setup according to the guide. all your TB must be Read-only and the option in SW TB pull down, must be selected too "always change Read-only status to a document before writing".
