Selling a license

Selling a license

Selling a license

(OP)
Hi,

This is a bit if a strange question and a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if anyone knew where the best place to sell a second hand license of ProE wildfire is.

My company bought it last year for an engineer who has since left the company and we no longer have a need for it, the idea from the accountant was to place it on ebay but i dont think it will get a lot of interest there, you may think different!?!

Any advice is always appreciated.

RE: Selling a license

I don't think that is legal.

It would  be best to check the license agreement that came with the software. You might recover a few bucks if you manage to sell it, but you also run the risk of legal problems which could cost way more than your accountants were originally hoping to save.

As for interest, sure, you'll probably get some bites, but the person bidding on your license could very well be a PTC employee member of an anti-piracy unit.

RE: Selling a license

Usually, licenses can only be sold with the company that holds them.

Contact your local PTC sales rep and see if there is anything they can do to help you.

I wasn't sure if that was the case or not, i will get in touch with the PTC sales rep and find out what the story is.

Thanks again,
