pulsation dampener-cryogenic pump
(OP)
Has anyone heard of companies that make pulsation dampeners for cryogenic service? We may have a problem with acceleration head on the suction side of our reciprocating pumps. Thanks for any help or insight.

To determine if it's an issue or not, put a pressure gage on the line at the suction. If it pulsates more than a few psi, you might benefit from a pulsation damper.
I don't know of any companies that make them because they're too easy and cheap to make yourself. You can add gas volume simply by adding a section of dead headed verticle pipe at the pump suction. I've done that on numerous cryo recip pumps and tested the affects. It works very well, though I'd suggest you also create an analysis to understand how large it should be. Too large of a vessel simply adds heat leak.
