Lab Hood Velocity Requirement

Anyone know the requirement and govern authority on lab hoods handling radio isotopes?  I'm specifically interested in required face velocity and the governing authority for compliance.  This is for a project in the USA.

I finally had a chance to go look and see what I could find on this.

I believe the governing organization is OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  The regulations are found in 29CFR1910(CFR= Code of Federal Regulations).  Specifically, you should look at 1910.1450 and Subpart Z.  However, other parts of 29CFR1910 might also be applicable (I just did a quick search).

You can access the CFRs by: http//www.gpoaccess.gov/cfr/

Hope this helps
