H2S Solubility in Brine

H2S Solubility in Brine

H2S Solubility in Brine

(OP)
Looking for information on the solubility of H2S in concentrated brines (30000 to 40000 TDS or so) or even seawater at temperatures in the range of 100 to 200 deg F and atmospheric pressure.  Need to understand if saturation limit is depressed significantly in brine solution compared to pure water.

Regards

RE: H2S Solubility in Brine

I would say not much. H2SO4 2.4% only slightly lowers the H2S solubility. I do not have any dat for brines, but I do not expect a huge impact.

RE: H2S Solubility in Brine

If you can follow the maths, the following might be of some use:

Ai and Bi: factors
T: Temperature in Kelvin
S: TDS in gr/L (eg. 30 or 40)

I can't find any temperature range for that correlation.

Hope this help
