Infra Red bandpass filter window - matl search

(OP)
Hi all,
I am looking please for some leads on inj moulding resins to use for small IR window.  I know these are often molded in polycarbonate with a deep blue or deep purple dye.
I wonder........
- is there a better descriptive term for this type of colorising so that I can describe it for the folks mixing the masterbatch?
- alternatively, are there suppliers who hold this in-stock in small qty's?  I've tried quite a few without success.
- the resin, could it be either PC or Acrylic?

The window is a typical IrDA port in an electronics package with a requirement to pass 85%  over a 800 - 1000Nm range.

If you are in the Uk (or near), try these:

Colourmaster, Oldham.

Or

Hampton Colours (nr Stroud, Glos.)

They both do "unit packs" (to colour 25Kg) of pigments.

There are others I guess, but have only used these two.

Harry
