Sketcher toolbar buttons are greyed out.

Sketcher toolbar buttons are greyed out.

Sketcher toolbar buttons are greyed out.

How come my sketcher tools toolbar buttons are all greyed out and I only get the menu manager for the sketcher tools and not the toolbars?

I have tried the customize screen option and in the toolbar section these are all greyed out as well?  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help
Todd

RE: Sketcher toolbar buttons are greyed out.

It seems you are working with a sketch that had a regeneration failure. I've found myself on occasion being allowed to leave a sketch even though it has not been fully constrained which I believe may be a bug which has led to your current situation.

I don't know how you came about getting into this mode but I've been put into a sketch with out the Intent Manager being activated. When this happens you'll get the old sketcher interface the same as youd get if you hit the check box on the Sketch drop down menu.

Some people probably still like to use this mode. For one thing placing saved sections with geom tools allows you to pic a point to use to snap the saved section with which in many cases is better than the stupid center of sketch X drag handle.

To solve your problem and get intent manager turned back on make sure your config file has sketcher_intent_manager option activated and hit regenerate to see where the sketch is under defined. Other good options are
AutoDim which should fully dimension or even over dimension your section.

If you have any vertices that are highlighted in red you can also use trim curve -> corner option to ensure they are joined together.

You may also hit constraints Enable and click on all the constraits you want to enable.

If you regenerate and Pro won't let you leave the sketch delete the extra dimensions found which will be highlighted.

Once you are able to regenerate you can turn Intent Manager back on and exit your sketch with the new functionality icons when they becme un greyed out.

Good luck,
Michael
